About the Foundation

The Jo Dickey Foundation grants financial assistance to individuals who meet the criteria in accordance with our mandate: to enhance the quality of life of the mentally/physically challenged who reside in group homes throughout B.C., who otherwise could not afford it.

Over the years the foundation has made many grants such as:  a computer with special components to a legally blind person; a special 3-wheel bike to facilitate mobility; a weekend trip to Victoria; a digital camera; a group retreat to Harrison Hot Springs; a wide screen T.V. for a homebound person; a group harbour boat tour; horseback riding lessons; summer camp fees; etc.

It is important to emphasize that the foundation would support financially, on approval and if funds are available, those requests that will provide an enjoyable experience to the applicants.  Let us hear from you.
