Funding Grant Criteria

The Jo Dickey Foundation has been established to assist members of the British Columbia community that have mental and/or physical challenges by providing funding for items, services or events to improve their quality of life, to those that cannot afford these things.

Normally the applicant will make a request for a funding grant, but we are happy to accept applications on behalf of individuals. We also accept applications on behalf of a group of individuals; however we do not provide funding for organizations. We normally do not provide funding to reimburse an applicant for items purchased or services obtained if those items or services are purchased prior to the grant application being approved.

The Applicant does not have to use the Jo Dickey Foundation Grant Request Form, but we will require all of the information that is listed on the form.

The factors to qualify for a grant of money are as follows:

Please forward your grant request to:

Jo Dickey Foundation
#310 – 800 West Pender Street
Vancouver, B.C.
V6C 2V6

or via email to: hugh@mclellanherbert.com

Grant requests are normally dealt with at the following bi-monthly meeting of the Foundation’s Directors, so if there is an urgency to the funding request, this should be noted on the application.

Note that if the grant request has been approved and if funds are provided directly to the applicant, we will require the provision of receipts to prove the expenditure.
